I would like to do this in the select statement, but it seems to be causing a syntax error. The following code works: SELECT * FROM V_Test WHERE [date] > '2005-01-01' AND [item] = '12345' And it works without the sub-select: SELECT V_Test.*, [Extension] FROM V_Test WHERE [date] > '2005-01-01' AND [item] = '12345' However, when I try to combine the two like so: SELECT V_Test.*, V_Test.[Extension] FROM V_Test WHERE [date] > '2005-01-01' AND [item] = '12345' It seems to fail as there is a syntax error, saying there are too many items.
